Direct/indirect target group
The direct target group consists of a total of 64,057 people, the indirect target group of 400,000 people.
Direct Target Group 1: 3,000 young people between the ages of 11 and 19 who are educated on the topic of sexual and reproductive health and made aware of their rights in community forums and school forums (see Multipliers 1) receive additional training in life skills to enable them to competently advocate for their reproductive rights.
Direct target group 2:100 of the young people from the forums who come from the group of particularly vulnerable forum par-ticipants who are at risk of early marriage or who come from economically disadvantaged families also receive training to enable them to participate in the project and protect them from having to leave school early or enter into a marriage. 20 of the trained forum participants also receive technical support to set up their own small business.
Direct target group 3:A total of 62,861 young people between the ages of 10-19 in the 3 project districts benefit from the establishment of youth-friendly health corners in the 25 model centres for health and family welfare and the further training of staff. This corresponds to the number of young people in this age group in the 3 project districts.
Direct target group 4:The 50 project schools have around 10,000 pupils aged between 10 and 19, of which around 4,999 are girls and 5,001 are boys. A total of 10,000 pupils receive access to vaccinations, food supplements, deworming and improved counselling through mental health training for teachers
Direct target group 5:A total of 369 government employees are to participate in coordination committees. 275 government em-ployees participate in monthly Sub-district Coordination Committees, 31 in monthly District Coordination Committees and 63 in annual National Coordination Committees.

Institutional target group 1:120 Designated service providers of the Health and Family Welfare Centres such as Family Welfare Field Officers (FWOs), Counsellors from the selected facilities, Sub-Assistant Community Medical Officers (SAC-MOs), Upazila Health and Family Welfare Centre Pharmacists, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers, Family Planning Department Officers, Counsellors, etc.
Institutional target group 2:500 field staff of the Health and Family Welfare Centres such as State Field Officers, Family Welfare Assis-tants, Assistant Family Planning Inspectors, Family Planning Inspectors are trained in adolescent sexual and reproductive health, nutrition and mental health.
Institutional target group 3:32 officials such as Family Welfare Assistants (FWA), Family Planning Inspectors (FPI) and district level reg-istration officers are trained on MIS and youth indicators.

Project Goal: The project is based on the National Youth Health Strategy 2017-2030 which covers adolescent sexual and reproductive health, violence against adolescents, adolescent nutrition and adolescent mental health. Social change, achieving behavioral change and strengthening health systems are also included as cross-cutting issues. The goal of A-EMPOWER project: In the districts of Naogaon, Chapainawabganj and Rajshahi, 62,861 young people between the ages of 10 to 19, including 31423 girls and 31438 boys, are making increased use of customized sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services.
